John Flanagan Developments (JFD) is a leading Midlands-based property development and construction company, founded in 1950. The Company is privately owned, headquartered in Tullamore Town, County Offaly and has key operations and investments centred on the town.

JFD has developed a wide range of experience and projects in the residential, commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors, together with a portfolio of business and development opportunities.

Current projects include:

  • Wellwood Healthcare Park is the first of its kind in Ireland and will occupy a 22 acre development adjacent to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore. Phase I of Wellwood comprises a 70 bed state-of-the-art private hospital and primary care centre;
  • Central Business Park is a 22 acre campus style office park, conveniently located on the outskirts of Tullamore;
  • Axis Business Park is a 42 acre industrial park which hosts a range of light industrial, warehouse and trade-type operations; and
  • Droim Liath is a residential development that offers affordable, luxury living. Only two houses remain in this 175 home development.

Specialist local knowledge has allowed us to carefully assemble sites and create the opportunity to redevelop or regenerate prime locations. The 22 acre Wellwood site in the centre of Tullamore Town is an excellent example of this.

While we have our own construction company, we recognise that partnering often offers us the best route to deliver specialised developments, such as the 2006 extension of the Tullamore Court Hotel or the current Wellwood Private Hospital build.
